Hello friends at Transition Hertford. My name is Anni and I actually live in Shropshire. I am engaged in a project to locate and grow as many perennial vegetables as I can find. This has grown out of being a frustrated would be forest gardener with an ordinary sized garden in a large town, although I am fortunate to live in a quiet part of said town. Without the room to grow many actual trees and loving veggies I have spent the last few years focussing on perennial veggies. I grow them in polycultures on similar principles that apply to a forest garden, with mixtures of other plants to provide nitrogen, insect habitat etc.
Since early 2011 I have been writing a blog about the garden, the veggies and my somewhat unorthodox methods. From the visits to the site so far it seems that people are particularly interested in places to buy perennial veggies or seeds, in growing oca, obtaining Daubenton's kale and growing polycultures in pots.
The blog is at http://annisveggies.wordpress.com/
I am happy to help with any queries anyone may have.
Best wishes
Anni Kelsey
