'HertFood' - A presentation on local food by Nathan Surendran and Jean Riddell

Transition Hertford recently put on a talk on local food. I'm relatively new to these considerations, and put myself forward as presenter to make me get out there and learn!

Below is a copy of my presentation, and below that, the mind-map of the notes I took during the discussion. It's intended to act as a stimulant to your own learning, and has lots of links to more information. I'd particularly highlight the main reports I've delved into in the preparation of this presentation, which are:
Please feel free to add your comments regarding any issues you want to elaborate on, and we'll use the output from the discussion to shape the food working group page when we put that together in the next month or so.

My first time using Prezi, but I think I'll be using it again based on the reaction from the audience! A non-linear alternative to PowerPoint is sorely needed, and free to use as long as you share your presentations publicly - idea for Transition presentations...

A couple of pointers when navigating the presentation: Hit the play button and wait for it to load. Use the forward and back arrows to step through the points in the order presented. Use left click and drag to move freely around within the presentation, and the mouse wheel to zoom in and out. Click in free space to be taken back out to the overall view or use the cross icon to zoom out but retain a marker of your current position.

Notes from the discussion:
Discussion notes - online mindnmap to view / download (note the entertaining translation of Hert to deer in the url!)
pdf version of notes
rich text version of notes (doesn't work too well, but allows easy copy / paste)
