Transition Hertford response to East Herts Local Development Framework consultation

Andrew Goodman, Doug McNab and I submitted comments to the East Herts Local Development Framework consultation on behalf of Transition Hertford. This process has been put in place to prepare for the expiry of the existing planning framework, the East Herts Local Plan, which covers the period 2007 - 2013. The new Framework will cover the period 2013 - 2030, which is a much more useful period from a Transition point of view. The 'Issues and Options' document upon which we commented is quite an… Continue

Apple Day - what a celebration!

Apple Day was a great success! We had a steady stream of people all day,

lots of new faces, some of whom took away leaflets and promised to come

back for more! A huge attraction was the apple press lent to us from

Church Farm, Ardley, and Brian, Teresa, Barbara, Alex and lots of

visitors all did a grand job in keeping the fresh juice flowing! Most

children went home with the most beautiful apple branches still bearing

apples twisting and turning over their cheeks… Continue

Hi Sandra
I didn't put the photos up - must have been Wenderlynn?
The comments disappeared cos they were comments attached to the Apple Day event. Once the event is over, it disappears. Far better to write that sort of thing up as a "blog" which means it stays on for ever. I'll try to find it and email it back to you so you can put it on the blog....

Hi Sandra,

I'll certainly forward it on and I'll try and attend. Probably not the April 11th one as it's my birthday that day and I believe there is some sort of party planned, but I may well still be around in the evening. What time does the event start and where is it?

Thanks,

Liz

Hi Sandra, thanks for the welcome. I hail from Kent, however, I have looked at Transition Towns for a while and I might as well join your movement in Herts (if that's OK?). Was a commuter from St Albans for a while too! Best. Rosemary.

Hi Sandra thanks for the message.

I'd have liked to attend yesterday but had a prior baby sitting commitment. I'll do my best to attend the drinks this evening though work and family permitting.

Ah, sounds wonderful....

Its interesting that you have kept a distance from Facebook and I can certainly resonate with your reluctance there. Actually I only started using it myself when I placed Soul Psychology on there and decided that, potentially, it could be used to make meaningful links/share useful information... although I have witnessed quite the opposite too. However, even the Dalai Lama can be found on there! :-)
