Whatever problems there are with Tesco, I think we all need to look at the bigger picture, and the reality of the situation, which is that millions of people shop in Tesco (including pretty much all of us, I'm sure, even if only occasionally),…

Tinker's Bubble

Last Friday, Wenderlynn and I went down to Somerset for a much-needed weekend getaway.

When we realised that our B&B was only 3 miles away from the eco-village Tinker's Bubble, we phoned ahead and arranged to pay them a visit.

Leaving the B&B in the drizzle, our little Polo protested as we rattled along ever-narrowing roads that grew bumpier and bumpier (past Bagnell's B&B - we should have stayed there!) until we saw the delightful hand-painted sign that told us we were… Continue

Haitian Compost Loo todo

On Saturday afternoon, Wenderlynn and I found ourselves in some woods,

near Borehamwood, gathering leaves into a duvet cover, in the rain, and I

Permaculture Centre, all on the promise of looking at a toilet, it was

an unusual start to the afternoon.

After meeting huddled figures in the damp car park, we were greeted by

Richard Higgins, whose… Continue

However, there is something especially endearing and rewarding about Larmer Tree, the beautiful surroundings helping to create a… Continue
