Huma Pearce commented on Huma Pearce's blog post WildflowersI am pleased that this project is going ahead but have slight alarm bells ringing with respect to the possibility of bats being present in properties that are opting to take up for example roof insulation. Such works are likely to alter the condition of the roof space and may contravene the bat legislation. Similarly other protected species such as nesting birds could be affected.
