Film Night: A Farm for the Future at Quaker Meeting Room

April 7, 2011 from 7pm to 9:30pm
For our April Film Night on Thursday the 7th April 2011 we will be watching A Film for the Future. In this educational film, Rebecca Hosking explores ways of farming without using fossil fuels, and learns that it is actually nature that holds the key to farming in a low-energy future. Following the success of last month's film night we hope to see lots of you there for the film, as well as a short discussion afterwards. Tea and coffee will be on offer as well as some lovely cake. Please RSVP by…See More

Profile Information

I am interested in:
Sustainable design and planning, sustainable buildings, sustainable communities

These interests partly reflect my work role as a sustainable planning officer - I spend my working hours persuading developers to be more sustainable and developing sustainable planning policy and guidance.

But I have wider sustainability interests beyond work including in particular a love of nature and the outdoors

Hi Doug,

A small group of us from TH want to submit comments on the Local Development Framework and Carolyn has suggested I contact you because you're interested to contribute to this process. If this is still the case, that will be most welcome!

May I trouble you to confirm and then we can take things from there.

With my thanks and best wishes,

Sandra

Glad youre interested in having an input in the Town Plan. If you want to know more about how far its gone i suggest you get in touch with Sandra White or Viv Jones who are also on the steering group and have been attending meetings with the Clerk to the Council and others.
Yes, there are quite a few different car sharing models, I've just spent some time with some friends who are setting one up between them-very interesting....

mmm sustainable planning officer - that sounds interesting - As your probably aware TT's seek to enroll, enlist the help of and otherwise hook up with their local councils in transitional initiatives at the local level - so can I ask what areas might be in that sort of planning remit and by what criteria it is deemed or sought to be sustainable?

I have space at the moment for 2 people in my car on either night to watch badgers. Would appreciate if you could confirm asap. Should be a great evening. :)
