'Transition Together'???

What: It's a workbook and group meeting approach that has been pioneered by the Transition Town Totnes guys for re-use by other Transition Initiatives. For more info, see the info on their website, including importantly what are the sources that the information in the workbook is sourced from?
Why: Because we want to engage with local geographic clusters within Hertford and
Who: We're looking for people who've joined this site who would be interested in being involved in one of these groups.
Where: We're looking for people to volunteer their front rooms for an evening once every month or two to allow a group to meet and work through the material in the workbook.
How: Join this group as an expression of interest (in any of the above) and we'll put out some messages in future days as to what we're going to do.

Hi Beth (and any others who may be wondering what a Transition Town actually is)! If you go on to our main page you will see Transition Town underlined. Click on that and it will take you to Transition Network, the official home of the Transition Movement which should make everything clear:)

Hi Beth and welcome to the local food group - I C yr request for info on transition

- click on the Forums tab, then select The Motley Crew Juice etc. Bar, scroll to the last entry from myself and you'll see a small blurb about the info' yr looking for, at the bottom of which are attached an open office and a microsoft word version of the same file, which explains how the anglicised version of transition came about, and what it's about. :-)

Pardon my ignorance, but I have little knowledge of what transition towns and permaculture is all about...its something I've always been on the fringes of wanting to know more.

What also is the mudlarks?

My new year's resolution is to get up to speed! Any hints?

I don't think cake consumption is what this initiative will fail for lack of... You should join us to consume some sometime Don. Or we can post some to you!

I did like the bit about consuming lots of cake - proof positive imo that they know what they're about . .
