We've just signed up with church farm actually.  The first box was a bit of a letdown but the second was quite good!

Sorry, I've not been on top of things recently.

We've missed Imbolc now unfortunately.

As for veg boxes Alex, we started using Riverford a few years ago, and they've been very good. Closer to home (especially for you) is Church Farm at Ardeley: http://www.churchfarmardeley.co.uk/farm-store-cafe-a-boxes/farm-box...

We'd have switched to them by now if they did online orders. With our allotment and garden produce, it's very handy to be able to adjust the order depending on what homegrown produce we have available at the time.

I'd be interested in procuring a veg box :). What's the plan for Imbolc? It's not far away at all!

Does anyone know any good veg box schemes in Hertford?

I 've contacted Mudlarks to see if they will let us hold Imbolc there. This will mean Iain will make cake!!!!! We could do the seed and bulb swap or planting or give out summer bulbs  :-) x

The food group of Transition Cambridge has lots of great ideas, including a local food outlets map, seed swap, (Seedy Sunday) etc Take a look and see if we could use some of them.

Just had a look at the links you gave Wenderlyn to Imbolc- what a beautiful festival for this time of year whether anyone is a pagan or not! To me its just a great way to connect with the time of year and the growing light etc. It would be good to incorporate some of these elements in a food fest:)
