Great news and well done! That date is in my diary now and I would love to help in whatever way I can on the day!

Did 'The Age of Stupid' come up last year/in discussion?

Hi all

We had another positive meeting with David Thorogood this week and the 2nd Eco Film Festival is definitely going ahead on Sat 19th November. We'll need plenty of help on the day, and lots of support so please keep it free. More info to follow - a small group of us are trying to finalise films but very open to any ideas

I wish I could give more time!  I'd like to come and meet David Thorogood but can't spare the time during working hours (they need to be saved for that August event) especially as most of the hard work of last year has laid foundations for this year making the task less demanding (my favourite kind of task).  I am however free evenings and weekends!

Such an excellent project! I can, I am sure, find some time to commit although unfortunately it would have to be on my terms (arghhhh!) Not because I am full of grandiose self importance (well not much anyway ;) No purely because as a teacher I just can't take leave during Monday to Friday before 3.30pm, and even then only Tues (until 7pm) Weds (until 6pm) and Thurs (until 4.30pm) So you see such a small window... do please let me know if I can be of any use to you, it would be such a shame if the film festival couldn't go ahead through lack of support. Warm regards, Leah.

Hi Carolyn

I think we need a core of 6...plus extras on the day..those people on the day arent such a worry

I think people need to prepared to come to about 3 meetings at the council, about 3 other meetings and to be able to view and approve DVDS

Hi Viv

Thanks for your request for help to get the Film Festival off the ground- I know it may well not happen because so few peope have come forward to help. I think this would be such a shame because last years festival was brilliant and it should be much easier to organise this year. I'll help if I can tho I have limited time available. How many people are you looking for before it becomes a viable idea?

Hi Wenderlyn, I teach 11-14 year olds at an education support centre...I think it would be a wonderful project that our kids would really throw themselves into...get in touch with your ideas, also we'd love to come to visit you at Capel Manor :)
