I was talking to a trader from one of the food venues in town today and he was telling me of three chains that are either going to or are potentially going to trade in Hertford. I know there is talk of  Coffee Costa making use of one of the redundant units, Nados are potentially going to take over the old Coles store (the mens shop opposite allworths) and another large textiles chain   is ear marked to take over the old Mcdonalds.

I'm quite sure we will see more indepdant traders close if all these come to town. Anyway I know it's not about stopping certain companies from using our town but more to the point encouraging local sustainablity. With this in mind the trader of the Proper Cornish said he would be willing to have as much to do with TH as he can possibly do. He's happy to have our newsletter in the shop as is Serendipty. Going to drop a business card or two into him.

Working with this.....does anyone think we can try, with local buisness' to organise a Business coalition? I mentioned this kind of idea to him and he thought it was a great idea. He said there was something like it in Hitchen.
