Hello Peeps. Ben and I were discussing last night things that could bring the group closer together and enable people to get to know a little more about each other than just being a Transition groupee. Firstly the idea of hot chocolate, sandwiches and whiskey whilst watching badgers was mentioned, (have I got that right Ben) for the next badger watch or....and I'm sure this is probably a good alternative....we book a meal at the Rose and Crown afterwards for everyone, of course this may be difficult for those who have children.

I know there are the Green drinks and meetings etc but I thought about things that could involve everyone including the children (the future inheritors of our Mother Earth) What are people's view on organising a Christmas knees up? By the way do we do a soup kitchen Hertford at chrsitmas (or any other time for that matter). Views and ideas if you please. :-) x

I think a Christmas shindig is a brilliant idea- I'm definetly up for it! Soup Kitchen? The Churches (or maybe its just All Saints Church- not sure- does Christmas lunch prezzies and entertainment for the elders of the community up at Sele Farm school. :)
Excellent! So if anyone else thinks a shindig for chrissymas is a good idea then let me know. Perhaps people can let me know there ideas of what kind of a do they fancy, a pub meal, a community hall based thing. Let me know and I'll see where we can hold it.
Don't know about laying our own soup kitchen, but there's soup for shoppers in the Quaker Room (which people will know after the film evening) on Dec. 11th and 18th, I think it's 11 - 1.00. Some of us could chat there if so inclined.
