WE@VE BEEN CONNED:THE DEAL TO SAVE THE NATURAL WORLD NEVER HAPPENED

Here's an article on the basics of worm composting.

http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/08/green-basics-vermicompost.php

I have had an experiment with worm composting using garden worms rather than the recommended red wrigglers. All bar one, made a break for the border, the last stayed and gorged on a week's worth of kitchen waste. Some weeks later I tipped out the contents to find some passable compost hiding a seemingly, genetically transformed worm the thickness of a hosepipe. I'm still not sure whether to call this a success.

Do we have anyone with a conventionally successful worm bin willing to share some tips and even some red wrigglers?
Article Ray Bomber pointed to in a TH meeting today: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2010/nov/01/investors-are-the-pr...

An interesting alternate point of view.
And another from Ray Bomber - could you save the world?

Hi Don
I have a conventional folder of material which I would like to see used. Perhaps if you, or anyone else, tell me a theme, I can tell you what I've got on that subject.

Hi Wenderlynn - If by 'this article' you refer' to the "We've been Conned: etc." which I take it u are - yea - the unfortunate truth is that this is how our world actually is - and has been for centuries, and very little changes. I think everyone that reads that article will be disgusted and more at what it allows us to glimpse . .
