Highbury Earth Festival
The Highbury Earth Festival will take place on Sept 24th, one of hundreds of events around the world to mark Moving Planet day – the day to Move On From Fossil Fuels. See www.moving-planet.org
Highbury Fields School have made a globe which will be carried in procession from the Clock Tower (gather at 11.45) to the Fields accompanied by the Ceilidh band Green Kite Midnight.
From 12 noon in the top half of Highbury Fields there will be music by Green Kite Midnight and All the Queens Ravens, 3 minute speeches on "Love where you live" from the MP, the Imam, the Vicar and others including local campaigner Polly Higgins on her campaign to have Ecocide declared a crime against peace like Genocide; there will be a dance class, and stalls including the Highbury Tapestry (come and add your vision), Bike Doctor, Thrifty Couture, bike powered painting, pop-up Wild Flower Meadows and many more.
