A decade ago, Bob Harding-Jones and Brian Heywood put together a show that took a look at our relationship to the world we live in. "Thinking about our lives..." explored with poetry and music diverse topics such as the country life, wildlife extinction, rural development and the way we live in today's post-industrial world. In fact, we opened a window on the way we use, and abuse, the place we live - six years before Al Gore took an Oscar with his film "An Inconvenient Truth".
Ten years later the message is still waiting to be told, and is now more topical than ever with the evidence building up around us. "Thinking about our world..." provides a theatrical setting for the poetry and music to give an insight into the world in which we live in the 21st century. It is not about threatening and frightening people into an eco-friendly mindset, but rather helping to think about the way we live and the effect it has on the world around us. In short, it's about the choices we all have.
